Many people think of healing/coaching/mentoring work as something that is a challenge or a daunting experience that involves going to the darkest depths of our being. While this type of healing brings opportunities to explore aspects of ourselves that we may not have been open to or aware of, devoting to the work is quite simple. It is something you can easily incorporate in your daily routine as a way of being curious on your path of self-exploration.
Healing allows us to explore areas of resistance within our mind, body, and spirit. Leaning into this resistance gives us answers. Clearing up space so that we can connect and flow from our natural state of being. Healing is not meant to be difficult, over-analytical, self-critical, or self-centered. Healing is simple and about connecting to our inner being.
Healing is about letting go of all preconceived stories, thoughts, associations and emerging into a new paradigm of simply BEING you. Many people wake up each morning, fall into the same patterns and habits of comfort, not even realizing that they do not even know who they are. They are simply going through the motions, doing the same things over and over again.
I have learned to look at healing as a way to be intimate with my feelings. When something doesn't feel good, it is an opportunity to ask myself: "What do I need to do right now to give myself compassion? What does my body or emotional being need? Am I judging or being critical of myself or someone else? Why is this person or situation triggering me?"
Allowing space and time for healing is imperative if you want to step outside of your box of comfort and lean into the vision you see yourself being in 6 months, 1 year, 5 years from now. Look at healing/coaching/mentoring to be an opportunity to unlock the strengths that reside within you so that you can lean into new versions of yourself that empower and inspire you. Allow healing to be a creative journey that never ends but gives you the freedom to be unapologetically you.
